i mean if this was naruto, one piece, bleach, or fucking hunter x hunter(especially that last arc) or any long form shounen it would take at least 25 episodes for the main guy to do anything, we had to wait like 30 plus episodes for luffy to get to a roof and fight kaido just recently.....

The whole chain link football play power up is a hot mess... Only suitable for fighting one target at a time. Disrupting the chain is easy and renders them useless

Blame all that excuse for forced teamwork the author made about needing to add everyones power to surpass the horns durability

The only instance it made sense was with Uesugi Tatsuomi where he is the main amplifier for the entire clan.

They could have easily chained it from a safe distance, but noooo, they just had to blindly charge in amongst the hundreds of girl-sword-lasers and get cut off at every single turn.

Oh, so the author did in fact think of that after all? Well, I should trust the author and try to see the bigger picture. I'm glad I didn't drop this show (personally, this show is an 8/10 for me, mostly coz I haven't watched that many shonen to begin with, so there's not much to compare this show with).

It is no wonder, then, that the bushi have been at war for 150 years without winning.
